Nutrition Matters! provides nutrition education services to individuals and groups wishing to eat healthier, both on referral from physicians and by appointment. This unique educational approach helps individuals understand disease management and prevention in a comfortable, non-clinical environment. Services are accessible and staff is approachable, offering evening and weekend activities and appointments. Other services include on-line diet help and assistance to manage individual dietary challenges, nutrition seminars, programs and workshops.
In a Pinch! Dinners, Talbot County's first dinner assembly service, helps clients prepare healthy and affordable entrees for their families. Seasonal entrees comply with American Heart Association guidelines for sodium and fat, providing both delicious and nutritious meals in a pinch! We provide you with all of the fresh, raw ingredients to make the entrees. You make them and take them with you, or for an additional fee, we can make them for you and deliver them to your freezer. Our personalized approach can help you meet most dietary needs, including cardiac and diabetic diets.
Healthy Cooking Classes, offered monthly, will feature local chefs offering creative healthy cooking techniques, as well as topical themes, such as grilling, cooking with herbs, vegetarian cooking, cooking with kids, and cooking to meet special health needs, such as diabetes and heart disease.
Commercial Kitchen Rental offers local caterers rental space in a commercial facility with a foodservice license. Both full-day and half-day rentals are available.
